
Recreational Cheerleading and Tumbling Classes
Recreational Cheerleading-Purple
This is a great introduction to cheerleading! This class is for 3-5 year olds. This is a team that meets for 45 minutes once a week. During their practice they work on cheers, dances, basic stunts, jumps, and motions. They have the chance to perform in local parades and community events.
Practice: Tuesday 5:45-6:30 or Wednesday 5:30-6:15

Recreational Cheerleading-Lime
This is a great introduction to cheerleading! This class is for 6-10 year olds. This is a team that meets for 1 hour once a week. During their practice they work on cheers, dances, basic stunts, jumps, and motions. They have the chance to perform in local parades and community events.
Practice: Tuesday 6:30-7:30 or Thursday 6:30-7:30

Cheer Technique Class
This is a one hour class that will work on stunting, tumbling, jumps, and conditioning. It is a great class for 9-18 year olds to prepare for high school, college, or all star teams.
Practice: Thursday 5:30-6:30

Flyer Technique Class
This is a 45 minute class that will work on strength, flexibility, and balance. We will teach specific flying techniques that will make you a great flyer and help with all star, high school, or college seasons.
Practice: Sunday 5:15-6:00 or Thursday 5:45-6:30

Base Technique Class
This is a 45 minute class that will work on strength, coordination, and basing techniques. We teach proper form to advance your skills quicker and reduce injury.

Tumbling For Cheer- Beginning
This class is for athletes who are working their standing back handspring. This class meets 1 hour each week and will focus on round-offs, back walkovers, front walkovers, and back handsprings. Apex Athletics does not believe in progressing girls until they have demonstrated the necessary strength and master the previous skill.
Practice: Monday 6:30-7:30, Wednesday 5:30-6:30, or Thursday 5:30-6:30

Tumbling For Cheer- Intermediate
This class is for athletes who have mastered their standing back handspring and round-off back handspring. This class meets 1 hour each week and will focus on standing and running tucks, as well as specialized connected passes. Apex Athletics does not believe in progressing girls until they have demonstrated the necessary strength and master the previous skill.
Practice: Monday 7:30-8:30

Tumbling For Cheer- Advanced
This class is for athletes who have mastered their running tucks and have a strong grasp on standing tucks. This class meets 1 hour each week and will focus on standing tucks, layouts, full twisting layouts, and advanced connected passes. Apex Athletics does not believe in progressing girls until they have demonstrated the necessary strength and master the previous skill.
Practice: Thursday 6:30-7:30

Open Gym
Open Gym is a chance for athletes to work tumbling or stunting skills with Apex Athletics staff. This is a great chance to progress skills outside of tumbling or regular cheerleading practice. Open Gym is open to anyone.
Practice: Wednesday 6:00-7:30 and Sunday 1:30-3:00
