Pre-K Tumbling Program
Show Off (Ages 18 months to 3 years)
This is a parent participation class (one parent per child.) to get your toddler acquainted with our facility and feel comfortable here. This is the least structured class of our Pre-K program. Our goal is to introduce the world of tumbling to your toddler. In this class your toddler will learn basic tumbling positions and skills such as Tuck, Pike, Straddle, Lunge, Table Tops, Log Roll, Forward Roll, and Backward Roll. We use visual aid and hands on learning techniques. Your skilled and trained coach will teach you as a parent the safe way to support and help your child with these skills. We concentrate on large motor skills, fine motor skills, hand eye co-ordination, and repetitiveness through the use of games, books, puzzles, and music. This is a great opportunity for you and your toddler to spend some quality time together while getting a little exercise.
Hot Shot (Ages 3 years to 5 years)
This is a great class for your toddler to learn a little independence. This class concentrates on mastering the basic tumbling positions and skills such as Tuck, Pike, Straddle, Lunge, Table Tops, Forward Roll, Backward Roll, and learning the beginning stages of a Cartwheel, Handstand, and Bridge. This is a 45 minute structured class. We focus on large motor skills, fine motor skills, hand eye co-ordination, memory, and repetitiveness through the use of visual aid and hands on learning techniques. Your toddler will be working on their own while being monitored and assisted by our trained and skilled coaches. Your toddler will be taught the safe and correct way to perform these skills to prevent injury and bad tumbling habits. This is a great opportunity for your toddler to have fun, get some exercise, and build self confidence while learning the basics of tumbling.
Fall Schedule--Monday 5:30pm-6:15pm
April 1st thru August 31st Schedule--5:45pm-6:30pm
Rock Star (Ages 4-6 years)
This also is a fun filled hour long class that is going to get your child addicted to tumbling. This class will work on perfecting basic tumbling positions and skills such as Tuck, Pike, Straddle, Lunge, Bridge, Handstand, and all variations of these skills. We will be practicing good form and safety to prevent injury and bad tumbling habits. This class will be working on conditioning their bodies and introducing a mind to muscle concept. During this class your child will be monitored and assisted by our skilled and trained coaches. We will concentrate on the Bridge and all the variations of it such as Front Limber, Bridge kick-over, and working on Front/Back Walkover. Your child will also be doing a lot of Round-off stations and drills. This class will also be a preparation for Backhand Springs. This class is a great way to keep your child’s interest in tumbling and getting stronger while having a great time.
