    Competitive Teams 

    (2012 -2013 Season)

    Wild - Special Athletes Team

    Wild is a competitive team for all ages that practices once a week for 1 hour. Wild competes at local competitions and performs at community events including basketball games and parades.

    During their practices Wild will perfect a 2.5 minute routine while working on stunting, tumbling, jumps, motions, and dance.  During practice and competitions Wild team members will receive individual help from their Cheer Peer.  Cheer Peers are current and former Apex Cheerleaders that volunteer to help coach Wild Team Members.

    Cheerleaders are required to attend all practices, performances and competitions.

    Frenzy-Tiny Level 1

    Frenzy is an early introduction into cheerleading for 3-5 year olds. This is a competitive team that practices 1.5 hours a week and competes at local competitions. They will also perform at events such as local parades and festivals.

    During their practices they will perfect a 2.5 minute routine while working on stunting, tumbling, jumps, motions, and dance.  This is a great chance for young children to start cheerleading as well as learn about teamwork and meet new kids! 

    Cheerleaders are required to attend all practices, competitions, and performances.

    Terror Youth Level 1 (Regional)

    Terror is a competitive team for 6-11 year olds. This is a team that accepts cheerleaders with all skill levels. Terror practices 4 hours a week and competes at local competitions. They will also perform at events such as local parades and festivals.

    During their practices they will perfect a 2.5 minute routine while working on stunting, tumbling, jumps, motions, and dance.  This team is a perfect fit for all cheerleaders that are looking to be part of a team and have fun while traveling to various competitions!

    Cheerleaders are required to attend all practices, competitions, and performances.

    Practice: Monday 5:30-7:30 and Wednesday 5:30-7:30 (Summer Schedule - Starts April 30)

     

    Craze- Youth Level 2/3

    Craze is a competitive team for 6-11 year olds. This is a team that accepts cheerleaders with a standing back handspring and a round-off back handspring. Craze practices 4 hours a week and competes at local and national competitions. The athletes must also attend one or two tumbling classes in the summer. In the fall they will have an hour and a half skills class that will concentrate on conditioning, jumps, flexibility, and tumbling.  They will also perform at events such as local parades and festivals. 

    During their practices they will perfect a 2.5 minute routine while working on stunting, tumbling, jumps, motions, and dance.  This is a perfect team for those new or experienced cheerleaders with their back handspring.  

    Cheerleaders are required to attend all practices, competitions, and performances.

    Practice: Tuesday 5:30-7:30 and Wednesday 5:30-7:30 (Summer Schedule- Starts April 30)

     

    Mayhem-Youth 2/ Junior 1 (Regional)

    Mayhem is a competitive team for 9-14 year olds. This is a team that accepts cheerleaders at all skill levels and abilities. Mayhem practices 4 hours a week and competes at local competitions and finishes up the year at a Nationals in the Midwest.  They will also perform at events such as local parades and festivals. 

    During their practices they will perfect a 2.5 minute routine while working on stunting, tumbling, jumps, motions, and dance.  This is a perfect team for those new or experienced cheerleaders looking for the fun of a competitive team, but not as much time commitment or cost of a nationals team.

    Cheerleaders are required to attend all practices, competitions, and performances.

    Practice: Monday 6:00-8:00 and Tuesday 5:30-7:30  (Summer Schedule - Starts April 30)


     

    Sabotage- Junior Level 4

    Sabotage is a competitive team for 9-14 year olds. This is a team that accepts cheerleaders with all skill levels.  Sabotage practices 4 hours a week and competes at local and national competitions. The athletes must also attend one or two tumbling classes in the summer. In the fall they will have an hour and a half skills class that will concentrate on conditioning, jumps, flexibility, and tumbling. Sabotage's goal is to be a dominating force in their level at every competition they attend, including UCA All-Star Nationals in Orlando, FL. They will also perform at events such as local parades and festivals.

    During their practices they will perfect a 2.5 minute routine while working on stunting, tumbling, jumps, motions, and dance.

    Cheerleaders are required to attend all practices, competitions, and performances.

    Practice: Tuesday 6:00-8:00 and Thursday 6:00-8:00 (Summer Schedule - Starts April 30)

     

    Toxic-Senior 2/4.2 National

    Toxic is a competitive team for 14-18 year olds. To be a member of this team you must have a standing back handspring and a round-off back handspring. Toxic practices 4 hours a week and competes at local and national competitions. The athletes must also attend one or two tumbling classes in the summer. In the fall they will have an hour and a half skills class that will concentrate on conditioning, jumps, flexibility, and tumbling. Toxic's goal is to be a dominating force in their level at every competition they attend, including UCA All-Star Nationals in Orlando, FL. They will also perform at events such as local parades and festivals.

    Rampage - Senior Level 3

    Rampage is a competitive team for 14-18 year olds. This is a team that accepts cheerleaders with all skill levels. Rampage practices 4 hours a week and competes at local and national competitions. The athletes must also attend one or two tumbling classes in the summer. In the fall they will have an hour and a half skills class that will concentrate on conditioning, jumps, flexibility, and tumbling. Rampage's goal is to be a dominating force in their level at every competition they attend, including UCA All-Star Nationals in Orlando, FL. They will also perform at events such as local parades and festivals.

    Obsession - Senior Coed Level 5 Restricted

    Obsession is a competitive team for 14-18 year olds. To be a member of this team you must have a standing back tuck, back handspring back tuck and a round-off back handspring layout. Obsession practices 4 hours a week and competes at local and national competitions. The athletes must also attend one or two tumbling classes in the summer. In the fall they will have an hour and a half skills class that will concentrate on conditioning, jumps, flexibility, and tumbling. Obsession's goal is to be a dominating force in their level at every competition they attend, including UCA All-Star Nationals in Orlando, FL. They will also perform at events such as local parades and festivals.
